Intro Basic Understanding (What does this tool do)

Put this in chatgpt and ask what are some ways it can be used.
  • When you open Perplexity, it will look like many other chat prompt tools
  • You type questions, you get answers.
  • But the magic and usefulness of this app comes from its ability to get factual information, present it in a clean format, and provide links to all of its responses.
  • Once you enter your question:
      1. it reviews your profile: When you use this feature in perplexity, you give it your goals. It taylors its research to your goals.
      1. It then searches the web and clarifies: Based on its initial research if it wants to clarify something it will ask you a quesiton, and see if it can better understand your question. This is where you can give it focus and tell it more
      1. it will search the web again, often 35-40 sources
      1. It will then provide the answer:
        1. The answer will be as long as you asked for in the initial prompt
        2. It will use bolding to make it easier to read
        3. It will provide links in line, in a way that doesn’t make it harder to read
        4. It will give you lists when necessary
        5. It will give you images at the end to make the concept more understandable
        6. Give you the option to ask a follow up question
